長い間ここに書かなかったね！:( Takako and I have been catching up with some of my childhood friends. August

Beverley (Middle) is one of my oldest friends. We don't get to see each other very often, but we always stay in touch on Facebook or by email. September

Takako and I had a visit from 4 of my high school buddies. This is the first time we have all been together since our High School Graduation. That was a very long time ago. We drank wine, and laughed until late at night! Then we had a panama party and they stayed overnight!

October

Takako and I travelled with my father, Aunt and Uncle and a young friend from Japan to visit the Pinnacles. Half way there we stopped to look at the ocean. It looks beautiful doesn't it! November

We are all at an Agricultural Fair .. My Mum Dad, two uncles and an Aunt all came with Takako and I .. we had a very good time.

え～そうなんだぁ

スリランカから移住してきた生徒は、初めて　”冬”　を体験中。　
冬の服装はしたことがなかったので、少しずつ寒さに応じて、買い足しているそうです。
スリランカでは、お風呂は　お湯ではなく　”水”　だそうです。そんなに暑いんだぁ。
温泉王国出身の私には、水で体を洗う？考えられないなぁ。

ケニア出身の生徒は、コートに手袋、地元オージーは、半そで、中にはランニングの人も。

体感温度はこんなにも違うんだぁ。

冬でも日差しは強いので、サングラスは必需品。

ロシア出身の生徒は、とてもおしゃれさん。
ミスコンテスト1位が多いベネズエラ出身の生徒は、さすがに美人さん揃い。

われらがアジア出身者は、”年齢より若く見えて”　その上　”お肌がきれい”と言われていますよぉ。

6月28日で半年間のESLのコースが終わりました。
このコースはこちらのYear 12（高校3年）と同等レベルです。

クラスメート

 年齢、国、宗教、言葉や肌の色が違うクラスメートで、様々な英語のイントネーションなので、聞き取りが上達したような気がします。出身はイラン、ベネズエラ、チェコ、ロシア、リトアニア、中国、韓国、スリランカ、インドネシア、フィリピン、そして日本 。
クラスでは授業についていけない日々も多く、悩んで悩んで辞めることも考えましたが、周りの人に相談したり、「ダメでもともとだから」と開き直りを決め込んだらとても楽になりました。その結果、続けることができて、この日を迎えられたんだと思います。今は、達成感と疲労が同時にやってきて・・・感無量です。
みんなも大変なことがあっても、一人で悩まずにお父さんやお母さん、先生、友達に相談してくださいね。解決する方法は必ず見つかりますよ。
最後の課題をクリアした帰り道、二重の虹が祝福してくれました。

限りなく半円に近い虹

こちらは冬で雨期、大雨の後、こんな虹をよく見かけます。
今年は昨年に比べて寒いような気がします。
去年使わなかったヒートテックとホッカイロ、重宝しています。

日本も雨期、災害がありませんように願っています。

What is a Cyclone?

These are our radio shirts. I think they look nice. Today we are having a Cyclone .. they are like Typhoons So far it is mostly rain, but the wind will come soon I think. I miss you all very much. I hope you are really studying English with Chang Wei and Stephen! I think I will come see you all in 2013.. So I hope you can talk to me in English by then.
